tomorrow these crazy kids celebrate twenty nine years of marriage
twenty nine years of being husband and wife.
twenty nine years going through good times and bad.
twenty nine years of sickness and health.
twenty nine years of memories that overflow.
twenty nine years.
four kids.
100s of Friday Family Nights.
3 high school graduations.
numerous vacations on the beach.
one kitten (for a few hours...).
dozens of ski trips.
one college graduation.
five dogs.
twenty nine years of growth.
maturation.
challenges.
happiness.
laughter.
tragedy.
newness.
life.
twenty nine years.
twenty nine years of supporting one another.
depending on one another.
encouraging one another.
teaching one another.
loving one another.
twenty nine years.
twenty nine years of growing together to become the husband and wife they need to be. twenty nine years of growing together to be the mom and dad they need to be. twenty nine years of learning how to be the son and daughter of God that they need to be.
in the almost 20 years of living that i have done, i have seen my parents go through just about everything.
i have seen how they have reacted to difficult situations.
i have seen them lift each other up in times of disappointment.
i have seen them work together to figure out how to raise four children and, on top of that, support four children.
and i have been impressed.
i am blessed to be able to say that tomorrow my parents celebrate 29 years as man and wife.
i am blessed to be able to say that i can see why they have been together for 29 years.
and i am blessed to be able to say that these are the two people God brought together in order for me to be in the family i am in.
twenty nine years.
